Description:
Surface wax coating on the leaf blade appears reduced, but only on the three upper leaf blades (wax code ++ ++ +) (4). Short awns are present in the original stock (4), but not in the stock selected as the Bowman backcross-derived line (2). Agronomic differences between Bowman and its backcross-derived line for cer-zf.70, BW162, were not observed (2).
