Description:
The rachis internode length of ert-s.50 spikes was reduced slightly to about 3.0 mm, and culm length was about 5/6 of normal (4). The ert-s.50 mutant was a very late segregate from the F2 progeny of the cross to Bowman. However, the Bowman backcross-derived line for ert-s.50 (BW323) only headed slightly later and had slightly shorter awns (2).
